The famed shoe designer is officially entering the world of children’s accessories and as it turns out, celeb’s tots were the primary source of inspo for the coveted line!

Giuseppe Zanotti, 59, has established a new label, Giuseppe Junior, dedicated to footwear for young boys, girls, AND babies — how cute is THAT? The collection, which was inspired byfashionable celeb toddlers such as Blue Ivy Carter, 4, and North West, 2, is set to launch in May and we cannot wait!

“I’m very enthusiastic about this new venture,” Giuseppe gushed to WWD. “Challenges are vital for me and stimulate my creativity.” Well this sounds like the perfect project for the designer then! Going from creating clothes for adults to creating pieces for children is, after all, very different. But Giuseppe HAS had some practice designing miniature. “In the past, I have designed children’s shoes for my clients and celebrities such as Beyoncé, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, andKarolina Kurkova. Their children were some of my first little fans,” Giuseppe said.

Shoes worn by Blue and North? Count us in! There’s no doubt this is going to be one chic children’s line. “Delighted with the growing popularity of these styles, I thought it was the right time to create a range for little fashionistas and I loved translating my designs into a first junior collection,” he added.

So what can we expect from this super trendy children’s collection? Giuseppe Junior will be filled with kicks made of velvet, napa, laminated, and snakeskin-printed leather. His shoes will also feature metal and crystal details, which will place his footwear at the $350 to $550 price point. Created for babies, as well as boys and girls, the sizes will begin at newborn and go up to size 2 beginning May 2, when the collection hits giuseppezanottidesign.com for pre-order.
